In 2024, WASEC joined Australia’s state and territory peaks to partner with People Planet First (PPF) to help WA social enterprises become verified.

People Planet First (PPF) is a trusted certification that enhances your social enterprise’s credibility and demonstrates to buyers your commitment to ethical and sustainable practices. As an official partner, WASEC can act as a verifier for Western Australia, streamlining your certification process and ensuring you meet the highest standards of social and environmental impact. Verification also strengthens your brand and keeps you accountable to your mission, positioning your enterprise as a leader in ethical business.

The People and Planet First verification focuses on five core standards in order to keep assessment costs low, bridge language divides and legal differences and open global opportunities for all enterprises that put people and planet first. Luckily these standards are aligned to WASEC’s membership criteria.

Cost

How much does it cost?

After your enterprise is approved, you will receive a link to pay the $85 USD verification fee online. The fee was set at the lowest possible level to contribute to costs and ensure the service is self-sustaining. Annual review and renewal to ensure ongoing standards. You will be asked to resubmit your evidence and pay a $70 USD renewal fee.
