Also operating commercial cleaning social enterprise internally at the moment which allows for social procurement opportunity for the whole of the organisation. Full training provided and followed with employment. People from refugee and asylum seeking backgrounds are trained and then onboarded as MercyCare staff to conduct cleaning of MercyCare’s office premises. For some people this is a first employment opportunity in Australia and they can start earning an income and getting Australian experience to help them on their employment pathways for the future. But other this may be a career choice. Each individual is supported with their goals.
