The Aboriginal Males Healing Centre Strong Spirit Strong Family Strong Culture Inc. (AMHC) is unlike any other organisation. We are an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organization (ACCO) with a unique approach. Our culturally appropriate services are designed for Aboriginal men who are engaged in violent behaviour. Our main goal is to promote lives free from family violence and homelessness for all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and children. Additionally, we aim to reduce the overrepresentation of First Nations men in the justice system due to their use of violence.
AMHC will offer an alternative to incarceration for men that use violence against women and children. The centre aims to heal these men and break the cycle of violence; and provide a safe and secure place for women and children.
The safety of women and children is our paramount concern.
